Agriculture has been an important part of my life from an early age. As a child my favorite moments were spent on the tractor with my grandfathers. I have always wanted to be like them and my father who is also an agronomist. I am very thankful that my childhood was spent on a small farm, allowing me to learn a lot of lessons in life. My family and I had fun in the summer at the county fair with our hog and steer projects. Attending OSU brought valuable friendships into my life, but city life reinforced my appreciation for rural life.

After college I worked for a local, family owned, large-scale hog and grain farm. I enjoyed scouting fields as well as applying the majority of their herbicides. Most of my time was spent on nutrient management and management of 12 million gallons of manure application each year.

I was once again blessed with another learning opportunity in agronomy at the local co-op. The change allowed me to continue field scouting that I enjoy so much. My primary responsibilities were making recommendations for seed, chemical, and fertilizer applications. The most enjoyable part of this position was working with all sizes of farm operations in my local community. To be of help and benefit to these individuals was especially rewarding to me.

I joined the iCORN team because I felt that we shared the same values, work ethic, and attitude toward customers. My goal is to help farmers succeed through a sincere and straight- forward approach while continuing to learn as an individual. If farming were like a TV game show, and you could only call one person for advice, I hope that it would be me.
